1. Even if you are going for a career change do not attempt these 10 Mistakes

Don't look for a job in another field without some intense introspection.
Don't look for "hot" fields unless they're a good fit for you.
Don't go into a field because your friend is doing well in it.
Don't stick to possibilities you already know about.
Don't let money be the deciding factor.
Don't keep your dissatisfaction to yourself or try to make the switch alone.
Don't go back to school to get retreated unless you've done some test drives in the new field.
Be careful when using placement agencies or search firms.
Don't expect to switch overnight.

4. Final tips for interview day

Have a adequate knowledge about the time, date and venue of the interview and name of Interviewee.

Find out how you will reach to the venue and try to find out when you should leave in order to reach to the venue in time. If possible try a mock movement from your location to the venue. Try to reach the venue half an hour before the time allotted to you in order to avoid any unforeseen delay.

Keep your garments ready and make sure that they are fresh.

Avoid bulky baggage at the venue this hinders your mobility and may become a last time headache for you.

While the time of interview try to focus completely on interview as a focused mind takes correct actions at critical situations.

Keep your testimonials ready before the day of interviews and keep them in order.

Once you are at venue bring your presence to the notice of receptionist or to any present officials at venue.
Freshen up by using washroom before you meet the interviewer.

It is not only that Company asks while interviews, but even you can put forth your questions if any to interviewer. It is always recommended to ask questions that are related to company as it shows your curiosity and enthusiasm. But avoid concentration of queries with regard to salaries. Certain recommended questions are:

5. Post Interview

Now you are back form the interview unaware about the status. Find out for your self how well did you do. Rate your self as no one knows you better than you yourself. Try to rate yourself on parameters like:
QUESTIONS ANSWERS
Was I on time? -Y/N
How was the introduction? -Good/Ok/Bad
How was the verbal conversation? -Good/Ok/Bad
How was the non verbal conversation i.e. body language? -Good/Ok/Bad
Was I confident? -Y/N
Was I able to satisfy the interviewer with the response? -Y/N
Was I boasting about myself? -Y/N

6. Avoid Monotony at work.

Quite obvious one cannot work throughout the day without any relaxation. But again dont relax at the cost of company. Many employees get bored of the work they do. There are some basic tips form JOB SETU which may help you to get rid of this boredom.

7. Some General Tips for Interviews for HE/SHE both

Trim haircut and well-controlled hair on faces.
Better to avoid heavy jewelry. Keep your tattoos and pierced body parts covered, away from your employer's eye.
Minimal and a very light cologne should be applied.
Keep your dress fresh and smart
Better not to smoke before an interview. And no Gums or Candies please.
Well cut nails, not longer than your fingertip. (Women - should use a mild or light color or better just gloss and no color. Men, please don't even think to.)
Carry a small briefcase to carry your documents.
Wearing a belt which matches with your shoe (highly recommended for men). Keep a plain and simple belt latch.
Wear colors which goes best with your personality. The moment is calm and sober so please try to avoid any Hawaiian colors to a good extent.
 

For HE:
Be dressed with a look of smartness with sense. Jeans are not advisable at all.
Use a tie. But avoid too glossy ones.
Use some smart looking accessories like tiepins and cufflinks.
Shoes please no chappals and sandals. They should be well polished and managed. Socks should have a color match with shoes-black socks always recommended.
If you have to go with your moustache get them trimmed.
Wear your belt below your navel in order to maintain symmetry.

For SHE:
Low necks should be avoided as it gets unpleasant for interviewer as well as you.
Use a polished flat/low/medium set of heels, not any party shoe types.
Wear plain earrings and should not be hanging variety. Probably you can go for studs
Wear a single plain chain and if required to have a pendant just pick a small one.
Get your hairs tied up neatly. Loose hair is fine only if you can keep it in position.
Use a mild makeup. No glossy colors-can go with pastel colors.
Avoid your purses and carry your belongings in a briefcase.
Use some smart looking accessories like a hair clip or brooch.
Use just one set of bangles if required to go with your watch.
